PRE-SURGERY
- Attend seminar and initial physical. Done 8/27/12
- Pre-admission testing (done at least 2 weeks prior to surgery). Done 12/11/12
- Will get call for arrival time week before surgery.
- Clear liquid diet and 2 Dulcolax day before surgery.
POST SURGERY DIET
- First week: Full liquid diet.
- Second week: Pureed foods.
- Third week: Soft foods.
- Fourth week: Regular diet.
NUTRITION GOALS
- 64 oz or more fluids
- 73 grams protein
- 27-46 grams fat (no more than 11 per meal)
- 2 grams or less of added sugar
